Gio Postiglione.
Swimming performance scientist and PhD researcher.
I lead sport performance science at Knox Grammar School, where my work with the swimming programme focuses on biomechanics and physiology.
I am also a PhD student at the University of Sydney, working in collaboration with Swimming Australia on the transition from high-performing age-group swimmers to open-level performance.
SWIMIT brings together my research, applied work and analysis tools. It is a place to share useful methods, explain the thinking behind them and make performance information easier to work with.
My interest is in understanding what sits beneath a result: how it was measured, what may have changed and what the information can reasonably tell us.
